山の果研究所"らぼスペース"

2023年2月、"らぼスペース"が敷地内にオープンしました。
このスペースでは、 和紙や染色に関する体験学習やワークショップを行います。
また、山の果研究所の製品の展示コーナーも設けております。

山の果研究所

山の果研究所は、和紙の原料になる木「コウゾ」の小規模栽培農家です。これらは和紙職人さんへ納品しています。
研究所では、収穫したコウゾから作った和紙をつかい、製品づくりもおこなっています。
山の果研究所は、奈良県吉野町の東端にある、山の上の殿川集落で活動しています。
山の果の「果」という字には、木の実（結実）、結果、決断、そして「果て」という意味があります。吉野でも山深い、山の果ての地で、果を結んでいきたい。「山の果」の名には、その願いを込めました。

Yamanoka Laboratory

is a small farmer who supplies paper mulberry "Kozo". We supply Kozo to craftsmen who make Japanese paper made for the restoration of cultural properties.
And we also manufacture original products using Japanese paper.
We use Kozo harvested from our field for products.

We grow the trees from spring to autumn, and they are harvested in winter, peeled, boiled and tapped into fibers, and then, we make Japanese paper using unique tools.
The final step is to dye the Japanese paper with a plant dyeing one by one.
We collect mountain plants and extract the natural colors.
There is our studio in a village in the deep mountains, Yoshino Town, Nara Prefecture. Living in the mountains gives us a lot of joy, and sometimes it's tough.
We hope to express on Japanese paper what we feel in mountain life.

★Traditional "Yoshino Japanese paper" such as Uda paper, Misu paper, and Yoshino paper (lacquer filter), are manufactured at five factories in the Kuzu district of Yoshino Town.
We do not manufacture them.
